Unusual consciousness states
Mystics belong to very different religions/spiritual groups (Sufi, Christian, Shamanism,...), but also there are individuals as well.
Usually, their motivation/goal is to becoming one with God or the Absolute, the aim at the union with the Absolute, the Infinite or God.
While they try to reach their goal, they achieve extraordinary consciousness states, some kind of ecstasy or altered/deep state of consciousness, sometimes like drugs.
We desire to reach levels of consciousness that are beyond humans (highest consciousness, enlightenment), like the God of All consciousness (all at once) with absolutes as capabilities within a blissful constant state, without losing individuality (independent) and freedom.
Unspeakable
Mystic experiences are beyond normal human experience; ineffable, sublime, nontransferable, very much unbelievable divine experiences. Often they use metaphors to describe their personal experiences, and sometimes they use poetry or other forms of art.
We try to get as much precise (precision), clear (clarity using science) as we can get in terms of perception and understanding/analysis of reality or any type of communication (unambiguous). While we prefer to use art only as a form of entertainment or something not really important.
Unpractical
Mystic teachings are not very useful for daily normal human activities directly. But, you never know what immense impact could have into a human life some ultimate or hidden truths, they could impact their main reasons to live.
At the moment, we are very unpractical as well.
We try and hope to reach the practice reality, but we are very much on theory level of reasoning, because the implementation of our theory/ideas isn't easy.
